President of Iceland guest of honour at Icefish 2017

The president of Iceland Gudni Th. Johannesson was today welcomed to the Icefish 2017 exhibition as guest of honour.

Taking a tour of the exhibition to see the latest most innovative products on show the president was able to meet and greet both exhibitors and attendees.

Marianne Rasmussen Coulling, Events director, Mercator Media commented “We were honoured to have the president visiting the exhibition this morning. He spent over an hour here and visited 16 stands where he was introduced to both Icelandic and International companies”

Taking place every three years, Icefish offers attendees the opportunity to meet international and Icelandic buyers and suppliers within the commercial fishing and seafood sector; direct international exhibitor attendance for this year is up by 41% and the Icefish matchmaking ‘meet-the-buyer’, held yesterday, doubled in size with over 100 business meetings taking place. The last day of the exhibition is Friday 15 September.
